On the 4^th of June, Chairperson HASHIMOTO invited and hosted a dinner for Dr. Basir MOHABBAT, H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Japan and Dr. Zainullah HAZIM, a 2019 MIF Fellow. Dr. HAZIM is the very first MIF Fellow since the foundation was established 40 years ago and H.E. Ambassador MOHABBAT offered his efforts to support making Dr. HAZIM’s research stay in Japan possible. MIF was proud of also having two diplomats from the Embassy, Dr. KOSHIO, Dr. HAZIM’s host professor at Tokyo University of Agriculture and two Afghan researchers from Dr. KOSHIO’s laboratory. At the dinner table, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Tokyo University of Agriculture and MIF confirmed to further strengthen the cooperative framework among the three parties.
