On the 9^th of July, MIF made a presentation on the fellowship program for Latin America and the Caribbean Region (LAC) diplomats in Tokyo. More than 20 diplomats participated in this event and a vibrant discussion was made by them on how to increase applicants from LAC. We have a strong concern that applicants from LAC remain low in the recent years. Many diplomats mentioned that they will try to mitigate this situation in conjunction with the ministries of education in their home countries.
